+ What is the difference between Senior Academy and Senior Conservatory?
Both the Senior Academy and Senior Conservatory will be fully in-person programs in 2021.
Senior Academy is a half-day program focusing on process that meets Monday thru Friday, while Senior Conservatory is a full-day program extending into the afternoons/evenings wher students also take part in a full live production on stage.
Senior Conservatory students begin two days before Senior Academy students to prepare for and participate in auditions for the prodution.
+ How will Senior Academy be different from the Academy program in previous summers??
The Senior Academy in 2021 will be back to a fully in-person program with all classes taking place on-campus.
+ How will SPAI still maintain the wonderful sense of community that is usually fostered by the traditional program?
Many beloved aspects of SPAI will still happen during the daytime in-person, including small group rehearsals, recreational activities, morning and afternoon meetings, word of the day, thank you notes, and other community-building traditions that will be successful.
+ Will our favorite classes still be offered (like Dance with Maddie, Voice with Colleen, and Acting with Terry)?
All of your favorite classes will be back and offered in ways to increase the one on one time with your beloved instructors. New acting classes will also be included.
+ Is there a final production or showcase for Senior Academy?
Our Senior Academy program is a process oriented program, with all instruction taking place within the classes. Therefore, there is no formal final presentation. Families will be invited to a final Virtual Parents' Day where they can sit in on your final class as you present material you've been working on.
